TODAY was SO much FUN!
We started out spirit day with the Barn Hill Preserve and learned all about different types of animals like a kangaroo, bearded dragon, toucan, and possum! Some kids even took their pictures with the animals!
Then we took a spelling test.
Then we read "How to make an Apple Pie and see the World!"
We talked about how baking is learning math, science, art, and geography.
We MADE three Apple pies today! Two for us, one for the sweet teachers around the school!
Next, we ate lunch.
Then, we got to eat our apple pie!
…..and do apple centers….and go to our third grade reading buddies…..and then watch a short clip about Johnny Appleseed…..
Whew. Your first grader MIGHT be tired tonight! ha!
