On Friday, we had a special flag ceremony! We put up two new flags- the American Flag and the Episcopal Flag. Then we got to have a field day!
Today we got to garden for a few minutes! We harvested tomatoes and then ate them at lunch!
Reminders:
1. Homework starts tonight! Please read decodable with your child and do the back of math sheet. (I promise it gets harder!!!)
2. Chapel dress on Tuesdays, Spirit shirts on Fridays
3. We need a shoebox lid by Friday
4. Sept 8 is Open House
This week in first grade we will be learning a lot! We will be reviewing letters and their sounds, making words and long sentences, and beginning some comprehension work. In math we will be writing numbers, placing an object on a graph, and identifying shapes. We will also continue our human body study and learn about our intestines (digestive system) and circulatory system!
