Week of October 7

Reminders:

1.  Friday is BOOK CHARACTER DAY!  Please dress up like your favorite character to celebrate our book fair opening!

2.  Next week- Grandparents Day is Thursday, Oct. 17.  It is also a half day.  Students will need to wear CHAPEL DRESS- boys with TIES and nice shoes. =)

3.  Book Fair will be next week.  Save your money to gather some great books for your reader!

4.  Remember that your EGYPT project is due on FRIDAY!

This week in reading we will be reviewing syllables, sorting sounds from beginning and ending, and  learning about the x sound while listening for ks.  We will be journaling a lot this week, practicing our handwriting and learning bible verses all at the same time.  We will continue with writer's workshop too and learning how to add details and feelings to our stories that we are working on.  

We have garderning and science lab with CDM this week too.  Ask your child about these experiences!

Our Neuronet program is going great too!  We begin level 2 this week and it just gets harder!

Friday will be book character day.  We will be taking a break from our imagine it series for reading and saxon math and doing some FUN reading and math with some character studies, as well as READING A LOT all day!!!!

We are learning about EGYPT.  Please make sure that your project is in by FRIDAY!
