Week of MARCH 3

This has been a really fun week!  We have learned all about the American Revolution, focusing on The Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere, Declaration of Independence, and U. S. symbols.  We will continue to learn about it next week too!


Today we had outdoor school in the Tipi with Snow Bear.  We learned how Native Americans survived using bones and sticks to make tools, how they cooked, and what they ate.  It was really neat to be able to have class this time in the Tipi!



  Our Bald Eagles.  They are the US symbol for strength and freedom.





Reminders:
1.  Ash Wednesday chapel at 8:05 instead of on Tuesday.  Come if you would like!
2.  Also on Wednesday we will be watching the 4th and 5th graders perform Fiddler on the Roof.

Paul Revere's Midnight ride......


We had a visitor today......Paul Revere busted in our room and warned us that the British were coming and we needed to get ready!!!!

Reminders:

1.  Book orders are due tomorrow if you would like to order...

2.  PLEASE bring back the hardback reading book each day.  Reading comprehension questions are due on Friday.

3.  Cheerleaders wear your cheer outfits on Friday- there is a pep rally in the afternoon!

4.  Ash Wednesday chapel will be next Wednesday.  You are invited to come at 8:05.  No chapel dress on Tuesday- but wear it on Wednesday!

The Boston Tea Party!!!!

Today we learned about the Boston Tea Party!


Ask your child about what happened today in class!





 Ms. Hughes and Mrs. Bryant dressed up as Mohawk indians and literally threw tea bags out the window because they didn't want to PAY TAXES and thought it was so unfair!

Next week we will be learning about the American Revolution.  We will start out about learning about the 13 colonies, Boston Tea Party, and Paul Revere too.  We will have many "visitors".  Stay tuned for pictures of FUN learning!!!!
