This week:
This is a short week, however, there will be LOTS of learning! In reading this week we will be focusing on the N sound, and I sound, and then reviewing initial consonant sounds and blends. We will be reading a story called "Suki's Kimono" and will talk about citizenship and how we should be kind to others despite what they look like.
We are in full swing with Writer's Workshop Series by Lucy Caulkins! We started today and have begun writing small moment stories. Today we learned that lives are FULL of stories to tell and how to stretch a story across a page. Later in the week we will learn how to Touch, tell, sketch and write a story. We also will be working on our journal pages and our verses that we will be learning and writing come from Matthew 22:37 and John 15:13.
In Math, we have been practicing remembering how to write our numbers, learning how to order sets from smallest to largest, and learning about first, next, middle, and last.
This week we continue learning about the human body. We will learn about the nervous system and circulatory system. We will MAKE blood this week too!!!! Please send in a shoebox lid as soon as possible for a fun lesson on the body!
We will not have spelling this week. Spelling will start on Monday. Homework this week is to read the decodable book that we send home each night and do the back of the math page and send back in.
